Chandos, Karl & Helen please take note.
WHEN WE'RE OLD & GREY

We'll live with our children, and bring them great joy.
To repay all we've had from each little boy.
We shall draw on the walls, and scuff up the floor,
and run in and out without closing the door.
We'll hide frogs in the pantry, socks under my bed.
Whenever they scold us, We'll then hang our heads.
We'll run and We'll romp, We'll skip and We'll play
always fritter away the time for our chores, every day.
We'll pester our children when they're on the phone.
As long as they're busy We won't leave them alone.
Hide candy in closets, rocks in a drawer,
and never pick up our clothes from the floor.
Dash off to the movies, and not wash a dish.
We'll plead for allowance whenever We wish.
We'll stuff up the plumbing, and deluge the floor.
As soon as they've mopped it, We'll flood it some more.
When they correct us, We'll lie down and cry,
kicking and screaming, not a tear in our eye.
We'll take their pencils and flashlights and then
when they buy new ones, We'll take them again.
We'll spill my milk to complete every meal,
eat our banana and just drop the peel.
Put toys on the table, spill jam on the floor,
We'll break lots of dishes as though We were four.
What fun We shall have, what joy it will be
to live with our children ...
the way they lived with us !!!
